The Great Dane Club of
Oxford (CT), Inc. was founded in 1968 for the purpose of protecting and
advancing the interest of the Great Dane.
Meetings are generally held on the fourth (4th) Wednesday of the month
except during December, when we hold our Annual Meeting/Holiday Party on a
date to be determined.
The club holds its Puppy Match Show in the spring. We also hold
back-to-back specialties in January. These shows are ideal opportunities to
learn about Great Danes. Not only can the prospective new Dane owners see
representatives of the breed, but also owners are usually delighted to
answer questions, advise and brag about their “kids”.
Educational programs are also offered during some of the monthly meetings
on subjects such as breeding, dental care, ear taping, etc.
